Terms of Service

Last updated: June 13, 2026

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Play NES Online (the "Website"). By accessing or using the Website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

1. Emulation Platform and Usage

Play NES Online provides a web-based emulation dashboard that uses open-source emulators (JSNES) to play retro Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) games in the web browser. The emulation software compiles and runs code entirely client-side on your local device.

2. User Uploaded ROMs

Our console offers a local file upload feature that allows you to play your own custom .nes files. By uploading files, you represent and warrant that you own or have the proper permissions, licenses, or rights to play those files. All user-uploaded ROM files are processed client-side and saved exclusively in your browser storage (IndexedDB). They are never sent to our servers.

3. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Website, including all software, layouts, emulation cores, and data, is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the site will be error-free or uninterrupted.

4. Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances shall Play NES Online, its creators, or administrators be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Website, including game emulation performance, keyboard mapping anomalies, or local storage issues.

5. Intellectually Property & Trademarks

All original game files, code, characters, artwork, and branding of commercial titles belong exclusively to their respective developers, publishers, and trademark holders. Play NES Online is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Nintendo Co., Ltd., or any other original system or game manufacturer.

6. Changes to Terms

We reserves the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Website following any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
